Aspirations and motivations of primary school teachers in low-income schools in Rajsamand, Rajasthan, India
(National Law School of India University, Bangalore, 2023-10-17) Ghera, Anuj; Ms. Apoorva Gupta, - Supervisor
"Everyone who remembers his own education remembers teachers, not methods and techniques. The teacher is the heart of the educational system." –Sidney Hook Despite being the most critical element of the education system, teachers' behaviour and motivations have received surprisingly little attention in research. Therefore, the primary objective of this study was to explore the intrinsic, extrinsic, and altruistic factors that influence the motivations and aspirations of teachers working in low-income schools. Additionally, the research sought to introduce and apply the FIT-Choice Framework within the specific context of Indian education.
