Organising Women: The Basic Concerns

Abstract

Document related to the women of the unorganised sector. Women in this area carry the triple burden of gender, caste and class. They bear the total responsibility for housework and for nurturing and rearing the young. In their work places, they are the lowest paid and do the hardest work. This paper prepared for the National Workshop on Organising Women in the Unorganised Sector, February 22-24, 1994.
