dc.description.abstractToday, we are experiencing a surge in the field of technological development through the spread of Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, increasing penetration of 4G/5G broadband services, etc. These technologies thrive and survive on consumption of large swathes of data – a strategic asset, the new oil today While each of these technologies can be seen to have an impact of its own, a convergence of these technologies has already transformed the way we think about privacy. This study aims to explore the impact of technological developments on privacy rights of the individuals using the four main principles - 'Notice - Choice and Consent', 'Data Localization' and 'Data Protection Impact Assessment'.en_US
