Memorandum of Settlement - 1989

Terms of the settlement include revision of pay scales and basic rates of wages and DA, incentive bonus scheme, HRA increased to Rs.140 per month, retirement benefit enhanced to Rs. 7200, educational allowance increased to Rs. 300 per annum, LTA to Rs. 750 per annum, the establishment of a heart and kidney fund for employees with the contribution of Rs. 2 from each workman, housing loan allowance expanded to cover 1200 instead of 1000 employees, modification of working hours, and setting a 5-day working week, productivity targets, etc.

Terms of the settlement include revision of pay scales and basic rates of wages (Annexure A), HRA enhanced to Rs. 110 per month, conveyance allowance to remain the same as per the 1981 settlement, Rs. 6000 set as a retirement benefit for those who have completed a minimum of 15 years of service, LTA increased to Rs. 600 per annum etc.

Terms of the settlement include increased basic rate of wages and revised pay scales (in Annexure A), conveyance allowance increased to Rs. 50 per month, HRA enhanced to Rs. 70 per month, long service award introduced for working with 20 continuous years of service, educational assistance at Rs. 150 per annum, Leave Travel Assistance of Rs. 300 per annum, housing loan provision of Rs. 10,000 to each eligible workman etc.
