    Text of resolutions adopted by trade unions in the Indian Railways at their local coordinations or category wise regional or national level conventions or meetings. One resolution is from a citizens Convention organised in Cooperation with railwaymens organisations; Resolutions mention to efforts at joint participation of members of national /regional level bodies such as AIFR, AILRSA and others. All resolutions reflect planning underway for the national level indefinite Railway strike that took place in May 1974. Contains also a resolution from the March 1974 National Convention of Central Government Employees Organisations.

    This file contains notifications dated 1974 and letters from trade unions; one notification by AIRMSA is dated 1969 and refers to its note of dissent regarding Pen Down Strike by the Secretarial Staff. There is an undated note from NCCRS which makes mention of a one and half year long sectional struggle of the railwaymen -- the running staff (motormen, Drivers) that has prepared ground and created confidence for a wider struggle. This file also contains a government document marked 'secret' written by a senior bureaucrat C.V. Narasimhan in the ministry of home affairs (government of India) asking state governments to take preventive action against the imminent threat of the railway strike in May 1974.
