Legalisation of prostitution : perspective of law students at NLSIU

ABSTRACT Prostitution is an age old profession which has been seen as a plot on the face of the society. Society I disregard and legal negligence ha cam ed spurt in thenumber of prostitute s in India. With children and we men being used as commodities by the ~maffickers, it is high time that we re rank our outlook on the legal and societal aspects of prostitution. The press( not study 1S a representative study )f the perspectives of the modern youth with regards to legalization of prostitution. With majority of the respondents supporting the legalization, it is imperative for the policy makers to come down from their ivory tower and give ¥use credence to the society's views.
